Months behind on your books? Let's get you caught up.

Bookkeeping clean-up and catch-up for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and general contractors.

No judgment. Credited toward your project if you move forward.

Clean-up vs. catch-up: what's actually different

Catch-up and clean-up get used like they mean the same thing. They don't.

Catch-up

Missing months. The bank feed's been sitting there untouched, transactions never got recorded, and there are blank periods where your books should be.

Clean-up

Wrong data. Things got entered, but incorrectly: miscategorized expenses, duplicate entries, deposits that were never reconciled, job costs that never got assigned to the right project.

Most of the time you need both. The diagnostic shows which one you're dealing with, and how much of each.

After the diagnostic, you get a written list of what's wrong, how far behind you are, and a fixed-price quote to fix it.

If you're less than 8 weeks behind, I can usually quote you directly from a short call. No diagnostic needed. If you're 8 weeks behind or more, the diagnostic comes first. It's the only honest way to quote this kind of work: every business's mess is different, and pricing it blind helps no one.

Common questions

How far behind is too far?

There isn't one. Whether it's a couple months or a couple years, the diagnostic maps out exactly what it'll take to get current.

Do you work in QuickBooks Online?

Yes, that's what I use for everything. This is a virtual, remote service, so I work exclusively in QuickBooks Online. I don't work in Desktop.

What if my books aren't actually that messy?

Great, that keeps your cost down. The diagnostic prices based on what's actually there.

Will this help with bonding or financing?

Lenders and sureties want clean, current numbers. If that's the goal, tell me up front so I prioritize it.

Do I have to sign up for ongoing monthly service after?

No. Clean-up and catch-up stand on their own. If you want to move into monthly bookkeeping afterward, we can talk about that, but there's no obligation.

What happens after clean-up?

You get accurate, current books: ready to hand to your CPA, ready for a bonding review, or ready to move into ongoing monthly bookkeeping if you want to stay ahead of this going forward.

Ready to stop guessing and get current?

No judgment. Credited toward your project if you move forward.
